Danielle Russo

Percussion


Danielle Russo holds a Master's Degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Percussion Performance. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree from UMass Amherst in Percussion Performance and Education. Danielle has worked with the UMASS Drum Line, UMASS Marimba Ensembles, and UMASS Marimba Band, all under the direction of Thomas P. Hannum. She has also taught percussion ensembles all over Central and Western Massachusetts and was director of the Shepherd Hill Winter Percussion Ensemble for two years. She was a general music teacher in Central Massachusetts as well, where she taught all grade levels, led drum circles, a chorus,   and several school-wide performances. 


She is currently in her third season with the Jersey Surf World Class Drum and Bugle Corps. 



Roberta Sutter

Piano


Roberta has been a rehearsal accompanist, pit musician, and music director for many years, at Savoyard Light Opera Company, Concord Players, and  Dramatically Incorrect Theater Group, among others. 


In her spare time, she volunteers as a dog walker at Lowell Humane Society.



Chris Uminski

Percussion

Chris is from Ashburnham, MA and he received his B.A. Music with concentrations in Percussion and Voice from Anna Maria College in 2016. Chris has played with the Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra, Thayer Symphony, and Leominster Colonial Band in addition to the NWCSO. He currently works as a voice, piano, and percussion instructor at the Real School of Music in Andover, MA, and as a freelance studio musician. 


Tom Wilson

Percussion

Thomas Wilson is an arranger, composer, educator, and percussionist working in the greater New England area. He currently serves as the coordinator of the front ensemble with the University of New Haven Marching Band, as well as the conductor of their concert band. Additionally, he is the front ensemble coordinator of the Jersey Surf World Class Drum and Bugle Corps. With extensive experience in the marching arts.  He arranges and composes custom music for marching bands, show choirs, and indoor percussion programs across the country. 

As an educator, Thomas also works with incarcerated citizens in local correctional facilities as a songwriting instructor with OpporTUNEity® Music Connections. An avid seeker of performance opportunities, Thomas performs with many local ensembles, including the Valley Winds and the North Worcester County Symphony Orchestra. He has also recently co-founded a contemporary percussion quartet which will be making its premiere debut in spring 2023. 

When not working on various music-related tasks, Thomas enjoys spending time with his long-time girlfriend, Danielle Russo, hosting a massive draft game for the hit CBS show Survivor®, serving as a commissioner for several fantasy football leagues, and playing quality board and video games. 


Mitch Gordon

Percussion

Mitch Gordon is a long-time professional percussionist and Orchestra Manager. He's worked with major conductors including John Nelson, Raymond Leppard, Christopher Keene, and Marin Alsop, and has worked with many solo artists including Joshua Bell, Yo-yo Ma, Issac Stern, Sharon Isbin, and Carol Wincenc. He is comfortable in many genres of music and has appeared in Carnegie Hall, the Esplanade, Troy Music Hall, Kerrville Folk Festival, Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Tuckerman Hall, and has been percussionist or conductor for more than 500 musical theatre productions over the last several decades. Mitch recently toured Europe as drummer for the jazz quartet ImproVisions and was responsible for taking the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra on tour to Germany and Carnegie Hall. Mitch produces and hosts ClassiCollage a weekly radio show on WCUW 91.3 FM Worcester, MA, and streams live every Monday night from 9:00 p.m. until midnight (ET) on wcuw.org.
